Management Consultant

G1 is looking to add a full-time Management Consultant to our growing team. As a Management Consultant, you will be a trusted adviser to business leadership with a focus on strengthening our Continuous Improvement and Program/Project Management practices, leading large cross-functional problem-solving initiatives and driving breakthrough results.

Our consultants are problem solvers who are comfortable being uncomfortable, eager to have the hard conversation, radically transparent, and bring optimism to their unwavering commitment to project success.

Candidates must be comfortable working on remote teams, potentially located in multiple countries and be willing to adjust schedules to meet the needs of a specific project.

Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility and drive client projects to keep processes and actions within scope, cost, and schedule

  • Synthesize a broad group of perspectives and requirements from stakeholder teams (e.g. Sales, Finance, Compliance, IT, Product Development) to develop end-to-end processes and solutions that satisfy the collective.

  • Direct workstream leads to deliver and meet program objectives while motivating and inspiring cross-functional program teams. 

  • Facilitate multi-day problem solving sessions using advanced problem solving tools & techniques.

  • Use judgment and experience to analyze business problems and make recommendations to help drive business results; influence clients to both recognize these opportunities and take action to exploit them

  • Lead process improvement projects following the DMAIC approach to achieve business results; including effective application of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

  • Identify, scope, and lead process or technology improvement projects to address business process problems and design new processes to achieve results. 

  • Create project documentation and written reports to document project progress, next steps, internal decision making, and deliverable tracking.

  • Manage all aspects of a project including project risks, issues, contingencies, communications, project schedules, project financials and change management plans.

  • Support daily operations of G1, as necessary, including business development, sales cycle support, and practice aid development.

  • Maintain and develop client business relationships to potentially expand G1 book of business and create additional revenue opportunities for yourself.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 10+ years of experience leading multi-site lean / continuous improvement implementations   

  • Deep understanding of Program and Project Management best practices and strong organizational skills.

  • Successfully demonstrated ability to direct workstreams and remote cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to achieve buy-in at all levels, including executive, and influence without authority. 

  • Strong understanding and application of Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques, Black Belt certification desired

  • Proven track record for solving complex, cross-functional problems using advanced problem-solving techniques, including Value Stream Improvement

  • Well versed in modern tools and methodologies of process improvement and project management abilities; experience in leading multiple large improvement projects simultaneously

  • A combination of technical and business expertise

  • Ability to build strong personal and professional networks

  • Superior level of client facing and client delivery

  • Background and demonstrable experience delivering process and technology solutions for your customers.

  • Success solving problems across multiple industries 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to be effective across various levels of a customer’s organization.

  • Self-starter and proficient working in an entrepreneurial environment and committed to helping G1 constantly improve and grow.

  • Obvious passion for delivering customer satisfaction.
